My name is Chris. I live in Malden, Massachusetts, where there seems to be more pizza places per square mile than anywhere else on earth. I was born on March 8, 1969.
I listen to a lot of music that you probably won’t hear on the radio. I’m also a film snob and I love cheese.
I’ve been married to the lovely and talented Liza B. Hostetler since November 2007. We became homeowners in December 2011. These days, I don’t go to concerts very often, but I spend a lot of time at Home Depot, pretending to know what I’m doing.
I was married once before, from 1992 to 1997. My daughter Audrey is an Emerson College graduate, lives in Boston and also loves cheese.
Liza and I are the proud parents of Noah Thelonious Hostetler-Ingalls, a beautiful genius who entered the world on April 15, 2011.
I don’t blog as much as I used to, but I write an awful lot about music for PopMatters. You can find the stuff I write for them right here.
